REVERSED ENGINEERED LONGEVITY PRACTICE
The understanding is that by projecting the age that we aim to live we figure out what we would like to be capable of physically at that point and that is our practice. Perhaps being able to squat, maybe not with the heels on the ground, but with heels off, safer for the hips and knees as well. Safely bend forward and backward. Gently twist and bend the body to the side. A range of motion for all the joints and the spine. The joints are really one of the most vulnerable areas. Avoiding over stretching and tensing. Slow gentle movements with impeccable awareness to the sensations, without increasing the heart rate, whilst maintaining a good absorption of oxygen with smooth flowing effortless breathing. Consciously deeply relaxing. Developing the capacity to suspend the breath is extremely helpful to the enhancement of the subtle functions of the body. These understandings, along with others, define then, our regular yoga practice.
